Three Houses is radically different from the 3DS Fire Emblem games in ways both subtle and obvious. Three Houses was undoubtedly a big push to get back some of the good will the franchise had lost over the years, and it definitely shows. The series, however, has seen some ups and downs, especially with the more recent Fire Emblem Awakening and Fire Emblem Fates. The Fire Emblem series is definitely a tent pole franchise for Nintendo.
